Completing or Rejecting Client Referral
After a Client Referral is entered into the application, the referral either needs to be completed or rejected. Completing the referral adds the client as active. Rejecting the referral removes the intake record from the intake listing.
If your organization needs to maintain an electronic record of rejected referrals, add the referral and reject it. You can track rejected referrals by running the referral report Patient Referrals, Not Taken Under Care, (NTUC).
It is recommended to only complete an Intake when the initial visit is complete.
When the referral is initiated, the client record is moved to an active client record and appears under the Clients tab.
Rejected referral information is no longer visible within the Intakes tab but the information remains in the system.
From Intakes, click Edit next to the record you want to access.
At the bottom of the screen, click the floating tool bar to mark as Complete or Reject.
To mark the Referral as Complete, click Complete.
To reject the Referral, click Reject. Select the reason for rejection and click Accept.
